Job Context:
∎ Working title: Trainer (Consultant)
∎ Employee group (Full time/Part-time/Limited/Casual): Part time for 3 months
∎ Schedule (hours/days): Starting from Sunday through Thursday (but will vary depending on the availability of the schedule of the UDC staff)
∎ Location: Field visit to selected districts of Bangladesh (Initial selection 5 districts: Bandarban, Khagracahri, Rangamati and Shariatpur. Another few districts will be chosen based on the performance of the trainers).
∎ Job Summary:
∎ Since the beginning of COVID-19 infection in Bangladesh, the government had been diligently working towards its prevention and vaccine communication. Vaccination success has been a concerted support from all ends, government and non-government agencies, communities, and various stakeholders.
∎ Center for Communications Programs (CCP) through its Breakthrough ACTION Project works to strengthen the Government of Bangladesh’s COVID-19 vaccine roll out efforts including country readiness by supporting the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) to carry out intensive demand generation activities including targeted campaigns. Breakthrough ACTION plans to conduct all these activities with the help of a2i by collaborating with union digital centers (UDCs), which are the frontline access point for various government services at the union level, training and equipping them into vaccine ambassadors to disseminate COVID-19 vaccination related priority messages addressing community concerns, rumors and misinformation at district level focusing particularly on vulnerable population and low vaccination areas. The aim is to build trust in vaccination among target groups and the general population, ensure maximum participation of the priority target groups in the vaccination program, and address misinformation, disinformation and rumors regarding COVID-19 vaccine before, during, inter-dose period and post-vaccination period.
∎ In this context, CCP wants to hire a Trainer to facilitate the capacity building programs for the staffs of UDCs. They will also provide assistance to the Program Officer (Government Liaison and Project management) to maintain the quality of the training and to develop of training materials and reports and conduct other activities related to UDCs (Logistics management, financial assistance, documentation of positive stories, courtyard session facilitation etc.) under Breakthrough ACTION project.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Liaison and coordination with relevant persons from a2i and staff of UDCS of selected districts to maintain good working relation with them that will enhance the activities related to increasing vaccine coverage
∎ Facilitate training for staffs of UDCs at districts level
∎ Communication with a2i and UDC staff to get the participants lists before travelling to selected districts
∎ At periphery, liaison and communication with UDC staff to manage a suitable training venue for the capacity building program which take place at district level
∎ During training period manage all the tasks to accomplish a training smoothly (Logistics and financial management, per diem management after training)
∎ The assigned person for the position needs to manage his/her own living place, vehicle during the training if it not in our working districts. CCP will reimburse the amount according to the policy
∎ Assist Program Officer (Government liaison and Project management) to raise and submit purchase request for logistics, financial transfer and other documents to relevant departments of CCP. During and after the training save all paper documents to adjust
∎ Write or assist on writing training report
∎ Sharing the training challenges and outcome with a2i and CCP to take into account the advice to improve the quality of training
∎ Follow up the e-mail communication with a2i and CCP to organize, manage and run trainings and other activities based on the program design
∎ Visit the accomplished training districts for monitoring & supervision of the activities of the staffs of UDC for desired outcome and regular communication with them for support if needed specially on vaccine communication at community
∎ Assist in development/ updating the training module and presentation based on feedback from UDC staff after each training if needed

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2 years of experience in training on health issue, preferable if in COVID-19
∎ Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint and Excel
∎ Good at Interpersonal skill (IPC) management
∎ Public speaking
∎ Outstanding communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
∎ Well-organized with the ability to multi task
