Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Stay informed about advances in laboratory technology, methods, and best practices, participating in continuing education and professional development activities.
∎ Assist in the development, validation, and implementation of new laboratory tests, procedures, and protocols as needed·
∎ Ensure machineries and equipment are functioning properly·
∎ Train junior staff regarding lab procedures and protocols.
∎ Maintain proper records and statistical details of the tests that are run·
∎ A thorough understanding and proficiency in conducting chemical analyses of body fluids and must be able to make reports.
∎ Participate in training and professional development programs·
∎ Maintain professionalism while respecting and upholding the rights and dignity of patients.
∎ Abide by all policies within the department.
