Experience:
CBT&AM Level-4 Certified candidates will be given preference.
BNQF Tailoring and Dress making Level 2 & 3.
BNQF SMO, WSMO Level 2 & 3, Fashion Design & Product Development Level 3 will add advantage.
Age may be relaxed for deserving candidates.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Trade Instructor, Trainer, Technical Trainer, Workshop Supervisor or Industry Professional in a Technical Training Institute, Polytechnic Institute, Vocational School, Training Center or relevant industry.
Bachelor's Degree and/or Diploma in Fashion Design, Apparel Manufacturing, Textile Engineering or relevant field from a recognized institution.
CBT&AM Level-4 Certified candidates will be given preference.
BNQF Tailoring and Dress making Level 2 & 3.
BNQF SMO, WSMO Level 2 & 3, Fashion Design & Product Development Level 3 will add advantage.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Willingness to travel within project operational areas.
Communication, organizational, presentation and facilitation skills.
Ability to prepare lesson plans, session plans and assessment tools.
Knowledge of pattern making, garment construction, cutting, stitching, finishing and quality control.
Ability to operate industrial sewing machines and garment production equipment.
Tracking, monitoring and evaluating trainees’ progress.
Ability to identify new training resources and learning materials.
Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Email and Internet applications.
Good command of written and spoken English will be considered an added advantage.
Ability to maintain effective relationships with management, trainees, employers and stakeholders.
The Trade Instructor (Tailoring & Dress Making) will be responsible for delivering competency-based training and ensuring quality implementation of training activities according to NSDA standards. S/he will work under the direct supervision of the Centre In charge and contribute to skills development, assessment preparation, trainee performance improvement and employment promotion.
Responsibilities:
• Formulate trade-based action plans and training schedules according to NSDA competency standards and curriculum.
• Prepare lesson plans, session plans, practical exercises and training materials.
• Conduct theoretical and practical training on pattern making, garment construction, cutting, sewing, finishing, quality control and industrial production techniques.
• Demonstrate proper use of sewing machines, cutting equipment, measuring tools and safety procedures.
• Monitor trainees’ progress and provide coaching to improve competency levels.
• Identify weak areas of learners and take corrective measures for performance improvement.
• Conduct continuous assessments and maintain attendance registers, assessment records, trainee logbooks and progress reports.
• Support competency assessment, certification and verification activities as per NSDA guidelines.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance and inventory control of workshop equipment, tools, and training materials.
• Maintain workshop discipline, occupational health and safety and environmental compliance.
• Support job placement, entrepreneurship and industry linkage activities.
• Handle emergencies and crises related to training operations.
• Maintain harmonious relationships with staff, trainees, employers and stakeholders.
• Ensure timely submission of reports, administrative documents and bill vouchers as required.
• Preserve and maintain data, information and records for reporting and monitoring purposes.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the management.
