Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons for IGCSE, AS-Level, and A-Level students in accordance with the Cambridge curriculum and syllabus requirements.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, practical activities, worksheets, and other learning resources.
Conduct laboratory practical classes and ensure students understand experimental procedures, safety protocols, observations, analysis, and evaluation.
Prepare students effectively for Cambridge IGCSE, AS & A-Level examinations, including theory, practical, and problem-solving components.
Assess students through classwork, homework, quizzes, tests, practical assessments, mock examinations, and other appropriate methods.
Monitor students’ academic progress and provide timely feedback, academic support, and appropriate intervention where required.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment results, student progress, and other academic information.
Identify students’ learning needs and use differentiated teaching strategies to support students of different abilities.
Encourage critical thinking, scientific reasoning, problem-solving, and independent learning.
Provide additional academic support, revision sessions, and examination preparation when required.
Maintain a well-managed, positive, inclusive, and academically focused classroom environment.
Collaborate with other Science teachers and academic coordinators to ensure consistency in curriculum delivery and assessment.
Participate in departmental meetings, staff meetings, professional development programmes, school events, and other assigned activities.
Communicate professionally with parents/guardians regarding students’ academic progress and areas requiring improvement.
Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and chemicals, following all school health and safety procedures.
Contribute to curriculum development, academic planning, question-paper preparation, and departmental activities.
Stay updated with Cambridge syllabus changes, assessment objectives, examination requirements, and effective Chemistry teaching practices.
Perform any other academic or school-related duties assigned by the school management.
