Job Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Biology lessons for IGCSE, AS & A-Level students in accordance with the Cambridge curriculum.

• Prepare effective lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, worksheets, and practical activities.

• Conduct and supervise Biology laboratory practicals, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed.

• Assess and monitor students’ academic progress through classwork, homework, quizzes, tests, and examinations.

• Prepare students effectively for Cambridge IGCSE, AS & A-Level examinations, including practical and theory components.

• Provide constructive feedback and appropriate academic support to help students improve their performance.

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment results, and student progress.

• Identify students’ learning needs and implement appropriate teaching strategies and interventions.

• Encourage students to develop scientific thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and research skills.

• Maintain a positive, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment.

• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding students’ academic progress when required.

• Participate in departmental meetings, school events, professional development programmes, and other academic activities.

• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum resources and improve teaching and learning practices.

• Stay updated with Cambridge syllabus changes, examination requirements, and modern Biology teaching methodologies.

• Perform other academic and administrative duties assigned by the school management.
