Professional Registration:
Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) licence/registration,with eligibility to practise in Bangladesh.
Professional Experience:
Minimum of five years of professional nursing experience, including substantial experience working within a developed Western healthcare system.
Demonstrated experience in establishing, developing, coordinating, or managing a nursing programme or similar healthcare initiative.
Previous experience working in a school, paediatric, or child-focused healthcare setting is highly preferred.Skills and

Role Summary:
Grace International School is seeking a compassionate, highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to establish, lead, and oversee our comprehensive school nursing and health programme. The RN will serve as the primary healthcare professional across our school community—delivering high-quality medical support to students, staff, and families, ensuring emergency preparedness, and driving health education and wellbeing initiatives.
Working closely with school leadership, educators, and external healthcare providers, the RN will maintain a safe, hygienic, and responsive school environment. This position demands sound clinical judgment, cultural adaptability, strict adherence to confidentiality, and the calm leadership required to manage day-to-day healthcare needs as well as urgent medical emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Nursing Programme Leadership & Systems Development
Design, implement, and manage a school nursing programme aligned with international healthcare standards and best practices.
Formulate and update policies, protocols, and workflows for school health, emergency response, health records, and medical care.
Establish and maintain professional, fully equipped, and confidential nursing facilities across school campuses.
Continuously evaluate and refine health services based on changing community needs and medical developments.
2. Medical Assessment & Direct Patient Care
Provide expert nursing assessment, triage, first aid, and ongoing medical support to students and staff during school hours.
Offer remote medical advice and triage guidance by telephone when not physically present at a specific campus.
Advise school staff on managing immediate health concerns and determine when emergency services or external care are required.
Facilitate arrangements and accommodations for students and staff with chronic or specialized medical needs.
Maintain clear liaison with parents, guardians, and medical professionals regarding student health conditions.
3. Emergency Preparedness & Staff Training
Assemble, inspect, and maintain emergency medical and trauma packs for all campus locations.
Implement inventory control systems for regular replenishment of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and emergency equipment.
Formulate and execute robust emergency response protocols across all facilities.
Design and deliver regular staff training sessions covering:
CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS)
Proper operation of emergency medical equipment
First response to physical trauma and acute pediatric conditions
Immediate management of common illnesses and health emergencies
4. Health Education & Community Promotion
Collaborate with teaching staff and leadership to design and deliver age-appropriate health education for students.
Lead awareness campaigns on key topics, including personal hygiene, nutrition, physical/mental wellbeing, and injury prevention.
Conduct health orientation and wellness guidance for school staff to foster a healthy workplace environment.
Contribute to school-wide wellness events and health promotion initiatives.
5. Health Monitoring & Risk Management
Monitor and analyze health trends, infectious disease outbreaks, and recurring injuries, providing actionable reports to school leadership.
Identify potential environmental health and safety hazards, advising leadership on preventative measures.
Enforce strict hygiene, infection control, and sanitation standards across nursing facilities and campus spaces.
Participate in policy reviews regarding communicable diseases, safeguarding, and risk mitigation.
6. Health Records, Confidentiality & Compliance
Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date Electronic Health Records (EHR) in compliance with professional standards.
Safeguard data privacy and student medical confidentiality in line with applicable regulatory standards and school policies.
Document all consultations, emergency treatments, referrals, and incident follow-ups systematically.
Ensure full alignment with professional nursing board standards and school governance frameworks.
7. Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Act as an advisor to school leadership on health-related matters within the nursing scope of practice.
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, administrative teams, and external clinics/hospitals.
Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) to remain current in pediatric healthcare, school nursing, emergency response, and safeguarding practices.
Foster a school culture grounded in compassion, care, and physical and emotional safety.
