Responsibilities & Context:

Utility Operations & Monitoring

• Operate, monitor and ensure stable functioning of all utility equipment and distribution systems (Chiller, Compressor, AHU, HWG/Boiler, WTP/RO, Cooling Tower, DG and electrical distribution where applicable).

• Maintain utility performance within defined operating ranges, ensuring timely response to abnormal readings or alarms.

• Conduct routine checks on pressure, flow, temperature, humidity, water quality parameters, electrical load, vibration, and system efficiency indicators.

Preventive Maintenance (PM) Execution

• Perform planned preventive maintenance as per schedule and OEM guidelines for all utilities and supporting systems.

• Carry out inspections, lubrication, filter cleaning/replacement, belt and coupling checks, valve checks, leak checks and alignment tasks.

• Maintain PM documentation and checklists.

Corrective Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Attend breakdown calls and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic instrumentation faults in utility systems.

• Diagnose and rectify issues such as compressor pressure loss, chiller trips, AHU malfunction, boiler/HWG safety alarm, water quality deviations, pump failure, electrical faults, and leakage.

• Coordinate with Operations teams to ensure safe isolation, restoration, and validation of utilities after repairs.

Continuous Optimization (CO) & Energy Efficiency

• Support energy optimization initiatives by improving compressor efficiency, reducing air leaks, optimizing chiller load, improving AHU performance and minimizing water losses.

• Monitor utility consumption trends and assist in identifying opportunities for energy saving, performance improvement and sustainability compliance.

• Support root cause analysis of repeated failures and contribute to reliability improvement (MTBF, downtime reduction).

Safety, Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure strict compliance with electrical and mechanical safety, LOTO, pressure vessel safety, safety, and safe handling of chemicals and utilities.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements related to utilities (water quality, equipment certification, safety inspection records).

• Maintain documentation of utility readings, maintenance logs, calibration records (where applicable), and compliance reports
