2/4 years of hands-on experience in telecom site installation, especially in rural or remote areas.

Job Context: The Technician will use technical skills and teamwork to ensure smooth installation and maintenance of network products and electrical work. They will communicate well with teams and clients, manage product delivery, and keep accurate records and reports.

Job Responsibilities:

• Field Installation & Setup.

• Install and securely mount 20–30 ft poles for Access Points (APs).

• Physical fitness for fieldwork including pole mounting and equipment handling.

• Set up network racks, switches, PDUs, UPS, and rectifier systems.

• Perform electrical wiring and UPS connectivity, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

• Proven skills in SFP modules, fiber optic patching, switch and UPS connectivity.

• Experience working with rectifier units and low-voltage electrical systems.

• Conduct fiber optic and SFP patching, testing link integrity and performance.

• Align APs and passive network components for optimal Wi-Fi coverage

• Logistics & Site Management.

• Assist in loading, unloading, and transporting network equipment to project sites.

• Maintain accurate inventory and quantity control of delivered products.

• Obtain delivery confirmations with client sign-offs at each site.

• Support warehousing activities and coordinate product batches for timely deployment.

• Maintenance & Troubleshooting.

• Conduct preventive maintenance on network devices and power systems.

• Troubleshoot faults in fiber links, switches, PDUs, UPS, rectifiers, and Wi-Fi coverage.

• Execute on-site hardware repairs or replacements under warranty conditions.

• Ensure rectifier systems are functioning optimally as part of power backup.

• Documentation & Reporting.

• Prepare daily installation and maintenance reports with detailed observations.

• Document delivery records and client acknowledgments accurately.

• Capture and archive pre- and post-installation photos for quality assurance.

• Maintain technical logs of electrical and fiber connections at each site

• Safety Compliance.

• Adhere strictly to field safety protocols during installation and maintenance activities.

• Use appropriate PPE and tools to prevent accidents and injuries.

• Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately to supervisors.
