Responsibilities & Context:
Inspect wheels and rims for structural damage, cracks, bends, deep scratches, or curb rash.
Dismount and mount tires from rims using specialized shop machinery.
Repair cosmetic and structural defects by buffing, grinding, straightening, or welding.
Prep, prime, paint, and clear-coat rim surfaces to match original color finishes.
Balance wheels and check structural integrity before final reassembly.
Maintain and clean shop machinery, tools, and safety equipment.
Lift heavy automotive components safely, often handling weights up to 60 pounds independently.
Log inventory, document parts repaired or replaced, and maintain quality control records
