OT technician is performing effectively in the areas where anesthesia is provided,

Actively participates in the development and/or administration of continuing education for the fellow technicians

Performing administrative duties like maintenance of duty rota of the department

Participates in departmental quality and patient safety activities under the guidance of Consultant/Coordinator and Senior Operating theater technicians.

 The anesthesia technician is an integral member of the anesthesia patient care team.

Assists the anesthetist in various settings

Performs duties under the direct supervision of anesthetist and/or Registered Nurse (RN)

Provides support for routine/emergency surgical cases by assisting in the preparation and maintenance of patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia

Performs first level maintenance on anesthesia equipment’s

Cleans, sterilizes, disinfects, stocks, orders and maintains the routine anesthesia equipment and supplies

Prepares Intubation trolley & help anesthetist in inducing anesthesia / intubations.

• Performs duties under the direct supervision of anesthetist.
