∎ A new project named `Saline agriculture and helophytes production` has been lunched for the host community in Teknaf. Under this project, we are looking for an experienced and skilled Technical Officer-Market Promotion to join our team in Teknaf. TO-Market Promotion will be responsible for supporting the beneficiary- procedures for marketing and market promotion of their agri-products
∎ Working Conditions:
∎
∎ Working days from Sunday to Thursday with 40 hours per week. This position may be required to work some extra hours to meet deadline as and when required.
∎ Yearly renewable the contract based on fund availability and performance.
∎ Have to follow ICCO HR, Admin and Finance related policy.
∎ Duration of contract till December 2021. With possibilities of extension depending on fund availability.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall Responsibilities:
∎ The overall responsibility of the Technical Officer-Marketing Promotion will be to identify different market opportunities for saline products and halophytes, create market linkages, establish collection points in the existing markets. f May/ June, before than that this person has to identify market opportunities. S/he will divide the time between Ukhiya and Teknaf.
∎ Key Responsibilities:
∎ Identify different market actors interested / opportunities in saline agricultural products.
∎ Identify the scope of the market for the saline agricultural products in country and abroad.
∎ Support for developing and executing sales and marketing plans for the saline agricultural products.
∎ Support for raising customers' awareness and demand the creation on saline agriculture products
∎ Access to E-commerce business and digital marketing of the farmers products
∎ Facilitate to access in the institutional market and buyers.
∎ Establish collection points in the existing markets and create market linkages
∎ Consultation with market actors and organize meeting/ workshop with them
∎ Markets visit, price monitoring chart development, beneficiary communication
∎ Market chain development (with external market and super market)
∎ Producer value chain development of saline agriculture products
∎ Organize and facilitate staff development training on market promotion
∎ Problem identification in the market and take initiative to solve the problems. A
∎ Assist to PMEL/ Project Manager in preparing project reports.
∎ Attend meetings/ events organized externally and represent the project and ICCO properly
∎ Prepare and submit plan, report weekly/ monthly as required
∎ The duties and responsibilities may change in order to requirements
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 years' experience in sales and marketing activities along the market system development for agricultural produces.
∎ Experiences of nexus on the corporate market and development arena
∎ Experiences on the new products promotion, branding and merchandizing
∎ Desirable on the innovative marketing experiences of the agricultural products particularly e-commerce business, digital marketing etc
∎ Good understanding and work experiences on the agricultural value chain and supply chain development
∎ Dedicated on target-oriented motivation and good business dealing with the stakeholders.
∎ Have experience/ ideas about assemble market/ farm-gate market/ super market
∎ Work experience in emergency response project/ Rohingya camps preferred.
∎ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, good team player
∎ Punctual and good at time management and strong relationship building skills
