• Ensure patterns, stitches, and color combinations match the buyer’s requirements.

• Machine Setup & Operation Support

• Adjust machine parameters for optimal knitting quality and efficiency.

• Design Interpretation

• Read and interpret CAD design files, tech packs, and sample instructions from designers and merchandisers.

• Convert design artwork into machine-readable formats.

• Sample Development

• Prepare and run sample production for approval before bulk manufacturing.

• Troubleshoot and solve knitting defects during sample production.

• Quality Assurance

• Inspect knitted samples to ensure they meet technical and quality standards.

• Work with the quality control team to resolve any fabric or pattern inconsistencies.

• Troubleshooting & Problem Solving

• Diagnose programming or machine-related errors in knitting.

• Implement corrective actions to prevent production downtime.

• Collaboration & Communication

• Coordinate with designers, merchandisers, production supervisors, and QC teams.

• Provide technical guidance and training to junior programmers and operators.

• Production Support

• Monitor bulk production runs to ensure patterns remain consistent.

• Make quick adjustments if deviations occur during manufacturing.

• Data & File Management

• Maintain an organized library of programs for future use.

• Keep records of program changes and production settings.

• Continuous Improvement

• Research new knitting techniques, yarn combinations, and software updates.

• Suggest improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
