Job Context:
∎ Land O`Lakes Venture37 is searching for a Technical Field Officer to assist in the implementation of the Farmer-to-Farmer Program in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Technical Field Officer will support the implementation and the day-to-day operations of the Farmer-to-Farmer Program. This position is directly involved with partners and implements the technical activities and business capacity building interventions including identifying needs and gaps and coordinating the training or technical assistance activities offered to firms and stakeholders in the agricultural and food industry and targeted sub-sectors (Fresh Fruit, Food Processing, and Dairy). She/he assists in supporting volunteer technical experts logistics on short-term assignments and monitoring the progress and the impact of the F2F technical support and capacity building interventions, and the results of partnerships.
∎ The main duties include but are not limited to the following:
∎ In collaboration with the Senior Field Coordinator, evaluate partner businesses and operations, the farmers and suppliers of produce and raw materials, and market opportunity and determine the best options for F2F to intervene and contribute.
∎ Coordinate, organize, and/or participate in training or consulting advisory assignments relevant to agro-food industry stakeholders, businesses, and food processors, and farmers engaged in F2F activities.
∎ Execute planned field visits to businesses, or farms that supply the businesses, and facilitate trainings, volunteer technical assistance assignments, or other support to the F2F program's partners.
∎ Document field visits and training through field reports with supporting documents and pictures and draft SOWs for volunteer technical assistance.
∎ In coordination with the MEL team, collect and document results and impact data accurately, according to guidelines set forth in the MEL Plan. Assist in completing or collecting baseline surveys, progress reports, cost share, and other performance data.
∎ Contribute ideas to, and collaborate on Communications, Learning, and Adapting objectives and activities.
∎ Perform any additional duties assigned by the Senior Field Coordinator or the Program Director.
∎ Reporting &Supervision:
∎ This position reports to the F2F Program Director with day-to-day oversight from the Senior Field Coordinator.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Local candidates with the minimum qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply:
∎ Minimum of 2 years' experience in food processing, quality systems or related field.
∎ Good working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and understanding of the food processing sector and quality control
∎ Good knowledge of MS Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
∎ Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Bangla
∎ Previous experience providing training or specific knowledge of marketing, business operations, and management preferred.
∎ Communication: Proven ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
∎ Analytical Decision Making: Identifying and understanding issues and opportunities; using effective approaches for developing appropriate solutions, taking action that is consistence with available facts and probable consequences.
∎ Planning and Organizing Execute work effectively and efficiently.
∎ Team Building: Proven ability to work with team members towards a common vision and objectives.
