- Masters in Horticulture, Agronomy, Agricultural Sciences, Plant Sciences with business administration from the reputed university.

Additional Requirements: - At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the development sector, preferably in INGOs with at least 3 years’ experience in the coastal region.
- At least 3 years’ professional experience working on protected horticulture.
- Sound experience of MSD and Private Sector Engagement (PSE) approaches.
- Profound experience on to promote the protected horticulture activities in Bangladesh.
- Profound experience in training, moderation, facilitation and liaison.
- Ability to work well under pressure and must be a strong team player.
- Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in an intercultural environment.
- Good working knowledge on computer applications (e.g. MS Office).
- Proven ability in self-organization, to work under pressure and deliver on time.
- Proven commitment to gender equality and inclusion of disability.

Responsibilities & Context: Ensure implementation of the Protected Horticulture project activities:
- The technical expert will be responsible for implementing the project activities.
- S/he will also be responsible for designing and implementing the protected horticulture activities in the project areas.
- Need to responsible the beneficiary’s selection, organize training for farmers, set up poly house farming and seedling nursery through collaboration with private sectors partners.
- Organize farmers day observations for sharing the better impact of the polyhouse farming.
- S/ he will also be responsible for developing the training curriculum on protected horticulture.
- Ensuring availability and affordability of polyhouse materials, low-cost technologies, quality seeds, and related services through engagement with private sectors partners.
- Explore access to adaptive financing for poly house farming through partnerships with banks and financial institutions.
- Established linkages (meeting/workshop/field visits) with institutional markets through partnerships with private sector actors (e.g., Agora, Meena Bazar, SWAPNO).
- Maintain close coordination and communication with private sector partners, government stakeholders and other market actors.
- Carrying out the operational planning of the project.
Ensure quality Project Implementation:
- Ensure day to day monitoring of the project activities and provide technical guidance to ensure quality of project’s activities.
- Develop and implement the Details Implementation Plan (DIP) of the project activities.
- Ensuring due consideration of Cordaid’s (capacity development, gender and disability, do-no-harm, beneficiary participation) in project activities.
- Providing technical guidance and assistance to implementing partners, government entities and service providers through coordination with the Sr. Advisor PSE and program development unit.
- Contributing to knowledge management, documentation and reporting obligations.
Networking:
- Facilitate interactions with key stakeholders, including high-level senior government officials and private sectors.
Field & Partner visits:
- Monitors the achievements of project’s target. Reviews field reports, analyzes field data and formulates conclusions, discussion points and recommendations for all stakeholders.
Project reports:
- Collects information within the project and reports about the results, specifics, budget and expenditures and possible deviations following required reporting standards, providing solutions to minimize impact of deviations.
Personnel management:
- Leads and coaches the multidisciplinary, intercultural and inter-gender project team on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the management style of Cordaid, focused on productivity, the professional development of staff and employee satisfaction.
- Coaches staff and leaves room for professional freedom to determine how to execute the work.
- Builds on the strengths and talents of staff members to improve team performance.
- Emphasis teamwork, project-based working and commitment.
- Ensures efficient use of resources and controls quality of work.
