Job Context:
∎ Mahideb Jubo Somaj Kallayan Somity (MJSKS) in collaboration with BMZ and NETZ Bangladesh has been Implementing Combating Impacts of Climate Change in Severely Affected Areas of Bangladesh (TECSAI) project that aims to trained people will significantly increase their income from climate-resilient and diversified sources of income and have access to climate-relevant government services. In dialogue with government authorities at local, national and transnational level empowered civil society actors contribute their perspectives to the climate policy discourse via civil society organisations and advocate for their demands. The project is working in Nageshawri and Bhurungamari Upazila under Kurigram district in particular. This position is solely responsible for coordination of climate change related human rights activities; coordination with all local and regional level Human Right related institutions; program planning, budgeting, implementation, financial management and staff management and performance evaluation; undertake livelihoods and mainstreaming gender and rights base project dynamics.
∎ Job Nature: Full-time up to project period based on performance.
∎ Job Location: Nageswari and Bhurungamari Upazila under Kurigram district but base in Nageswari.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Maintain close communication and capacity building of staff and Village, Union, Upazila and District level Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and High School Student Forum for better implementation.
∎ Regular follow up the Field Facilitator-HR and support them to implement human rights related activities.
∎ S/he is responsible for conducting several surveys, data collection and analysis and prepare/develop/preserve program documentation and produce quality and quantity reports and case stories in English and Bangla.
∎ Prepare monthly action plans and report and organize team meetings as and when required.
∎ Provide support to Project Staff for developing their training plan and implement accordingly.
∎ Collect and documentation of success/failure stories from filed level.
∎ Assist to PM and provide authentic data and information relating to the project.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 50 years
∎ At least 5 years of job experience in similar position in a reputed National or International NGO.
∎ Experience on network/linkage/collaboration with union/upazila/district level administration and likeminded organizations and maintain close communication and coordination.
∎ Experience on designing and delivering trainings and workshops at different level with producing several guidelines and modules.
∎ Should have experience on mass communication especially on Theater for Development (TFD) and or Forum Theater and develop student theater group through training and deliver in the project community.
∎ Well experienced on climate change impact, vulnerability, adaptation/resilience and livelihoods and rights base project dynamics.
∎ Candidate should have knowledge on Gender mainstreaming and Anti-social activities like; Child marriage, dowry, physical, mental, sexual harassment, eve teasing etc.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bengali.
∎ Well conversant with safeguard policies and issues and ensure at all level.
∎ Must have computer skill on MS word, Excel, Power point and internet applications.
∎ Willing to stay at Upazila level with frequent field visit to the remote area.
∎ Skilled on motor cycle riding and have a valid driving license.
∎ Willing to work in a team context.
Salary:
∎ Monthly gross salary range BDT. 35000 to 38000/-
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ 1 festival bonus equivalent to 1 month gross salary for each year.
∎ 1 gratuity equivalent to 1 month gross salary for each year.
∎ 5-10% salary increment (based on gross salary) in each year as per performance appraisal.
∎ Monthly Mobile allowance.
