Experience:
Master’s degree in any discipline. Bachelor degree might be relaxed for the highly experienced person preferable in Statistics, Social Sciences, Economics, Geography, Environmental Science, Disaster Management or equivalent degree
At least 03-05 years working experience in similar position, particularly in WASH, DRR, Resilience & Livelihood projects.
Mahideb Jubo Somaj Kallayan Somity (MJSKS) is a non-profit making community development organization situated in the northern Bangladesh. The organization is registered with the Social Welfare Department and NGO Affairs Bureau of the Bangladesh government. Since 1972, the organization has been serving the poor and extreme poor with special focus on the char (River Island) and attached char inhabitants (men, women, persons with disability, youth, children and adolescents) in different areas through several program initiatives.
Mahideb Jubo Somaj Kallayan Somity (MJSKS), in collaboration with WaterAid Bangladesh. is implementing the project titled “Civil Society Leadership in Mobilizing for Better WASH (CLIMB)”. The program aims to strengthen and improve WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) services for poverty-driven vulnerable communities through a structured and sustainable approach. Throughout the implementation period, the project focuses on strengthening local ownership, building institutional capacity, and integrating WASH priorities into government planning and budgeting processes. This comprehensive approach will help ensure that the project’s achievements are sustained beyond its implementation period.

MJSKS is looking for a qualified Project Officer- MEAL for the said project.
Job Nature: Full-time up to the project period based on performance
Job location: Chilmari upazila under Kurigram District.
Reporting to: Project Manager.
Key responsibility:
Management and monitoring of program staff and their activities
Develop M&E framework, indicators, and tools as per project need
Ensure high quality report for donor requirement
Ensure progress monitoring against output, outcome and impact indicators
Ensure documentation on success stories, lesson learn and best practices
Civil society-led accountability mechanisms ensure robust monitoring of WASH, Climate and Health commitments.
Ensure WASH and climate change-centric reporting prioritizing gender related issues.
Regular data entry, and preservation of hard and soft documents as required
Sample collection for data quality assessment in regular basis using tab/handheld device that are designed into a web-based e-M&E system
At the field level working with FF and volunteer to ensure clarity and capacity in their roles, which include submission of reports as part of routine data collection
Plan and oversee the implementation of PM&E across working villages
Review FF performance/output after PM&E sessions are conducted to enhance learning and address operational and technical gaps
Conduct panel data collection as designed for the program
Verify data quality and consistency through field visit
Prepare success story/case studies and other reports as appropriate
Others as assigned by supervisor according to program priority
Ensure visibility where applicable
Prepare narrative and formative report
Detail competencies:
Should have skills and competencies in wash management and climate change adaptation
Proven experiences on program planning, implementation, budgeting, financial management and capable of project management independently
Skilled in communication and maintaining liaison with local elected bodies, government authorities and people of marginalized communities
The candidate should have good knowledge on safeguarding (Child Protection, Gender, and Anti-Sexual Harassment), PSHEA issues, persons with disability inclusion, social protection, and complaint response and feedback mechanism.
Staff management, verbal and written communication skills in Bengali and English
Clear concepts on monitoring & evaluation
The applicant should have computer skills on MS-word, MS-excel, PowerPoint and email communication
Experience in advocacy and networking with regional and national level Institutes, platform and like-minded organizations
Ability to ride a motorcycle with a valid driving licence.
Willing to stay at upazila level with frequent visit to the remote areas
Salary: Monthly gross salary Tk. 38000/- possibility of yearly salary increment maximum 5-10% with 1 festival bonus (equivalent one-month gross salary)
