We specialize in fragile settings, responding to natural disasters, humanitarian crises and chronic poverty.
∎ Relief International (RI) has been working in Bangladesh since 2004, implementing programs covering emergency response, health, economic opportunity, trafficking in persons, gender equality and youth empowerment. RI has been present in Cox`s Bazar since 2014 where it was implementing a trafficking in persons project in Ukhiya and Teknaf supporting old caseload refugees as well as host communities prior to the large-scale influx. Since 2017, RI has scaled up its operations in Cox`s Bazar to support the emergency response by providing integrated, multi-sectoral programming for refugee and host communities, covering health services, including a 100- bed COVID-19 Isolation and Treatment Center in Ukhiya, child protection, SGBV, complimentary food and livelihoods opportunities to support social cohesion. Relief International is currently implementing a large scale refugee response program in Cox`s Bazar in Bangladesh in collaboration with multiple partners including UNHCR, USAID.RI maintains a country office in Dhaka with multiple field offices in Cox`s Bazar.

∎ Position Summary: The Supply Chain and Operations Coordinator works under the supervision of the Country Supply Chain and Operations Manager in Cox`s Bazar, and will be responsible for managing fleet, facilities, contracts and lease management, procurement, IT oversight as well as the general daily operational activities for RI`s Program. This position requires attention to detail, accountability, flexibility, creative thinking and ability to meet deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support the Procurement and Operations Officer in conducting procurement processes as per RI procurement and donor guidelines
∎ Monitor the procurement tracker, procurement plans and supplier database to ensure they are regularly updated and accurate
∎ Support the administration of effective order management systems including pre-approved, preferred suppliers and framework agreements
∎ Ensure that the supply chain is appropriate and cost effective, based on budget, markets, infrastructure, nature of the RI programs, and need for timely delivery
∎ Participate in various coordination meetings and report to senior management on key issues
∎ Manage all daily fleet movements of vehicles, including training drivers and maintaining driver schedules and rosters
∎ Oversee facilities management of Cox's Bazar office and guesthouse; provide technical support to field Operations staff in facilities management of field offices
∎ Develop and conduct internal trainings on key operations topics
∎ Provide technical and operational support to staff, as well as advice on application of procurement and operational best practices, systems and procedures
∎ Advise on the bid evaluation committees, ensure the integrity of the competitive process, and exercise appropriate judgment and tact while ensuring to protect confidential information
∎ Oversee goods and assets received in Cox's Bazar and ensure proper documentation and systems are followed for their movement and tracking
∎ Maintain a centralized asset register; ensure that all office and program assets are logged. Ensure all assets are issued with unique RI asset number, ID tag and are tracked and provide oversight to field operations asset management
∎ Visit field offices and facilities regularly; identify gaps and improvements; provide technical recommendations to Operations Manager to ensure the smooth running of sites
∎ Prepare monthly logistics reports as needed (fuel usage reports, contract and lease trackers etc.)
∎ Working with the security focal points, advice on security related matters
∎ Deputize for the Operations Manager as needed
∎ Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Additional Requirements:
∎ This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment.
∎ 5+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, administration, procurement, preferably in INGOs.
∎ Able to prioritize, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines.
∎ Willingness to travel to field sites and work extensively - sometimes at short notice, in difficult places and under long hours.
∎ Able to work independently and within a team.
∎ Ability to problem solve and work well under pressure.
∎ Pro-active, detailed oriented and reliable.
∎ Flexible in schedule, attitude and work prioritization.
∎ Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google software, particularly Google Drive, Gmail, Google Docs, MS Word and MS Excel.
∎ Fluency in English.
