∎ Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, or a related field.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Minimum 3 years’ experience in journalism or editorial roles within the media industry.
∎ Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills.
∎ Strong organizational and time management abilities.
∎ Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.
∎ Experience with print production and editorial layouts is a plus

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Supervise and manage content development including assignment, collection, editing, and proofreading of write-ups.
∎ Coordinate with photographers, content writers and designers to ensure articles are visually engaging.
∎ Communicate with the designated personals for managing interviews and video bites.
∎ Oversee layout design and maintain high editorial standards.
∎ Ability to conduct in-depth research related with magazine and new idea generation.
∎ Lead branding, promotion, and marketing campaigns to expand readership and advertiser engagement.
∎ Monitor business development through sales initiatives, timely billing, and recovery.
∎ Manage printing schedules, press deadlines, and final proofing.
∎ Update and maintain target group (TG) databases for optimized distribution.
∎ Monitor distribution channels to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
∎ Update website content weekly with new articles and visuals.
∎ Ensure content is SEO-optimized and aligned with current industry standards.
∎ Monitor Social Media Manager to ensure the regularity and smooth activities in digital platforms.
∎ Ceramic Bangladesh Magazine — the country’s premier bimonthly publication on ceramic industry trends, innovations, and thought leadership — is looking for an experienced and detail-driven Sub-Editor to join our team.
∎ This is a unique opportunity to shape the voice and vision of a A4 size100-page English-language magazine that highlights the vibrant sectors of Bangladesh, with annually 6 printed and digital issues.
∎ Office Hours: 10 am to 6 pm
∎ Weekly Holidays: Friday, Saturday
∎ Key Responsibilities
∎ Editorial Oversight
