Responsibilities & Context:
Job Responsibilities:
- Clean machineries, supplies, equipment, instruments, and all the spares.
- Follow standard precautions for decontamination processes.
- Monitor biological and chemical wash solutions to ensure consistent safety.
- Check sterilization equipment routinely to ensure it is functioning properly.
- Perform quality control checks and maintain equipment such as steam.
- Verify equipment functionality and operate the tools according to established guidelines.
- Conduct inventory of equipment and restock supplies when needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and stock supply closets.
- Collect and distribute instruments, trays, carts, and other support facility equipment.
- Organize tools, sort mismatched instrument sets, and ensure timely availability of instruments for timely production.
- Verify the proper functioning of equipment piece by piece.
- If equipment is found defective, repair or replace it.
- Perform daily and weekly infection control tests to ensure maximum sterility.
- Prepare and package medical equipment for use in different department facilities.
