Responsibilities & Context:

• Managing day-to-day operations of the cafe
• Oversee scheduling of staff members and be able to quickly find replacements in the event of a staff member being sick or absent
• Coordinate with vendors and order supplies, as needed
• Maintain updated records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expenses
• Monitor and maintain inventory
• Work closely with customers to answer questions and listen to complaints regarding food quality and customer service before working to resolve those complaints promptly
• Listen to customer preferences and make suggestions for menu items
• Hiring and onboarding new staff and baristas
• Training employees on drinks preparation and proper use of coffee equipment
• Advise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with customer and deliver excellent customer service
• Gather & evaluate employees’ performance
• Coaching, counselling, and disciplining
• Drives coffee conversations within the team and creates a culture of coffee appreciation
• Ensure all cafe areas are clean and tidy
• Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation
• Manages and motivates the team to increase sales and ensure efficiency
