Experience:
Master of Sociology/Bachelor Degree/Diploma or Vocational training in logistics, Supply chain or Warehouse management.
Understanding of stock control procedures and familiarity with stock cards, bin cards, and inventory.
Knowledge of WASH items such as hygiene kits, water containers, chlorine tablets, latrine construction materials, etc.
Awareness of humanitarian standards (e.g., Sphere Standards) related to WASH and familiarity with protection issues in WASH, gender & Inclusion in WASH and accountability to affected persons programming.
Basic understanding of procurement processes and donor compliance.
Knowledge of warehousing and logistics principles. Ability to categorize and arrange items efficiently.
Strong attention to detail in labeling and tracking.
Excellent coordination capacity with individuals and community group Excellent spoken Chittogonian or Rohingyan, desirable.
Ability to report discrepancies and coordinate deliveries.
Working collaboratively with field teams and suppliers.
Supporting emergency response logistics.
Must be ready to work in a multi-cultural environment.
Appropriate communication skill and approachable.
Must have no history of violation of children rights.
Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity and physical stamina.
Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment
This position holder will serve as the materials quality control as well as store management in the camp level. He will be responsible to ensure all the materials which are received from vendors and other sources. He will maintain the goods register as well as responsible for materials dispatching from the stock. He will also be responsible for times to times follow up of the materials which has been dispatched and used in various works across the camps. This position is under UNCEF WASH LTA project of the WV Bangladesh Refugee Crisis Response (BRCR) Program.
I. Quality control of the WASH materials:
Ensure proper categorization and labelling of items for easy identification and retrieval.
Develop and implement quality control processes, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency, reliability, and compliance with quality standards and regulations of WASH materials.
Conduct inspections of production processes, materials, components, and finished products or services to identify quality issues, defects, or non-conformities.
Review specifications, blueprints, and technical documents to understand quality requirements, tolerances, and acceptance criteria for products or services.
Perform visual inspections, measurements, and tests using precision tools, equipment, and instruments to verify product dimensions, appearance, and functionality.
Collect and analyse quality data, metrics, and performance indicators to evaluate process capabilities, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Document and report quality findings, deviations, and corrective actions taken, maintaining accurate records, logs, and inspection reports for traceability and accountability.
2. Management of camp warehouses and stores:
Receive, inspect, and record all incoming WASH supplies and equipment.
Track inventory of all supplies and maintain notes of any damaged commodities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records, including stock cards and inventory databases.
Follow proper documentation and safety procedures of all warehouse functions.
Supervise and oversee the organizing, stacking and storage of commodities by warehouse loaders and cleaners.
Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse equipment and goods.
Coordinate with transporters and suppliers for the dispatch and procurement of commodities and NFIs.
Perform all duties assigned by the supervisor.
To assist other workers in loading and unloading goods.
To assist in receiving goods inwards, check and inspect goods received ensuring they are of accurate quantity, type and acceptable quality.
To ensure compliance with Health & Safety Regulations.
3. Monthly reporting and Documentation:
To report the stock update on regular/monthly basis as per instruction of supervisor
Prepare and document item releases and deliveries to field teams or beneficiaries.
Ensure all dispatches are supported by waybills and issue forms.
Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with inventory records.
Monitor expiry dates and ensure removal of expired or damaged items.
Prepare monthly stock reports and submit to relevant departments.
Support audits and donor reporting requirements by maintaining traceable documentation.
