• Bachelor of Science (BSc)

• Age 18 to 27 years
• Only Female

• Experience in intravenous cannulation and sample collection in children and adult patients will be a significant advantage.

• Previous experience in blood banking or transfusion medicine will also be beneficial.

• The incumbent should have BNMC registration.

• Perform regular assessments of patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen levels, through physical examinations and medical history reviews.

• Administer blood transfusions and iron chelation therapy as prescribed by medical officers, consultants, and hematologists.

• Educate patients and their families about thalassemia, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications as prescribed by Medical Officers/Consultants/Hematologists.

• Coordinate with laboratory services for regular blood tests and monitoring.

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and any changes in condition.

• Document all nursing care provided, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulations.

• Provide palliative care when necessary to enhance the quality of life for patients with advanced disease stages.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the care of thalassemia patients.

• Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in thalassemia care.

• Engage in continuous education and training opportunities to maintain nursing competency.

• Respond to medical emergencies, such as severe anemia, infections, or transfusion reactions, ensuring prompt intervention.
