Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Managing all kinds of Letter of Credit openings related (Import- Deferred LC/Advance TT/Documentary Collection/CAQ/CAD payment, etc.);
∎ Should have experience in the field of Import/ Export through L/C & T/T Freight Forwarding;
∎ Strong knowledge regarding Bill of Lading, other shipping documents, UCPDC, and Incoterms and experienced in preparing shipping documents for export and import;
∎ Well-conversant with Bond License, Shipping lines, Bank Correspondence & other statutory authorities, and C&F procedure for clearance of the consignment in port;
∎ Fair knowledge of sight, deferred, and Back to Back L/C;
∎ Should have clear knowledge of HS Code & SRO;
∎ Conceptual, analytical, documentation, and presentation skills;
∎ Excellent communication in both written and speaking in English & Bangla;
∎ Liaison and coordinate all activities of Customs, Bond, Bond audit, Bonded warehouse, Incentive, EPB, and BTMA.BKMEA, BGMEA, BIDA (BOI), BANK, CUSTOMS HOUSE, VAT, Income tax, etc.;
∎ Monitor & manage L/C related work which includes, corresponding with buyers, opening L/C and its amendment, monitoring, shipment, document retirement formalities and custom clearing, C&F Agent and transport-related concern authorities for smooth and timely delivery of goods;
∎ Communicate with the confirming bank to add confirmation of Import and Export LC at a competitive price;
∎ Maintain liaison for cash incentives of specific products. Negotiate with banks for preferential exchange rates for Import and Export.
∎ Follow up and maintain commercial reports related to Import and Export activities and inform management as required;
∎ Follow up UD /UP formalities against all imports and export of the group;
∎ Follow up the renewal of IRC, ERC, and CCI&E related to all other license-related activities;
∎ Sound knowledge in foreign trade (export/import/remittance) business operations, Import & Export Policy, Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, ICC publications (UCP/URR/URC etc.), and guidelines of Bangladesh Bank for foreign exchange transactions;
∎ To prepare an invoice, Packing list, B/L, and shipping documents;
∎ To handle Customs Bonds related to all works with Import & Export;
∎ A person should have strong knowledge Egm Submit, VGM., H.B/L;
∎ Monitor sale contract shipment status to proceed & prepare all formalities to avail of cash incentive facility;
∎ Responsible for all Customs clearance of imported materials operation with LC process;
∎ Regularly monitoring & tracking various stages of Export as well as payment follow-up;
∎ Handling of AIR shipment;
∎ To have knowledge of commercial activities regarding L/C documents preparation, submission for Import as well as Port/ Customs formalities;
∎ Maintaining effective liaison with DOT, BIDA, BEPZA, EPB, NBR, Customs Bond, Customs Excise and VAT, DEDO, CCI&E, Bangladesh Bank, NSI, SB, and other government offices;
