Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Merchandising, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

Additional Requirements:

Minimum 4-8 years of experience in Product Development, Merchandising, or Apparel Manufacturing, preferably in trims & accessories or garment industry.
Strong experience in end-to-end product development lifecycle, supplier management, costing, and cross-functional coordination.
Strong knowledge of garments trims and accessories development processes.
Expertise in product development, sampling, costing, material sourcing, and supplier management.
Excellent project management, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office applications, and development tracking tools.
Ability to manage multiple development projects simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities & Context:
Lead and manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept creation and sample development to customer approval and bulk production handover.
Drive innovative product development initiatives aligned with customer requirements, market trends, quality standards, and business objectives.
Supervise and guide the sampling and development team to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient execution of all trims and accessories development activities.
Collaborate with customers, merchandising, design, sourcing, technical, and production teams to develop commercially viable and production-friendly products.
Develop and validate product specifications, material selections, color standards, technical requirements, and construction methods to ensure successful execution.
Monitor development timelines, sample submissions, approvals, and customer feedback to ensure on-time delivery and high customer satisfaction.
Conduct product costing, feasibility studies, and profitability analysis to support strategic business decisions and cost optimization.
Identify, evaluate, and develop local and international suppliers to ensure quality materials, competitive pricing, and reliable sourcing.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical, sourcing, quality, and supply chain challenges during the development process to minimize delays and risks.
Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of development records, specifications, approvals, and ERP data for effective tracking and reporting.
Prepare and present periodic reports on development performance, sample delivery status, customer-wise analysis, capacity utilization, and key operational metrics.
Establish monthly and annual development plans, KPIs, and performance targets, while implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
