∎ Nari Uddug Kendra (NUK) is a national non-government wormen’s organization, mandated to promote gender equality, human rights and fostering personal and political empowerment of women and girls in Bangladesh. Nari Uddug Kendra (NUK) operating an independent Kishoreganj Eye Hospital (KEH), Agaroshindur Community Hospital, NUK Medical Institute (NUKMI), the Micro-Credit Programme, health based donor projects with garments workers.
∎ Currently, Nari Uddug Kendra (NUK) is seeking applications for Sr. Accounts Officer (Kishoreganj) position for its Kishoreganj Office. The position will be based in Kishoreganj District Sadar.
∎ The Sr. Accounts Officer (Kishoreganj) is the field level senior position and responsible for Financial Accounting activities, financial transactions, all records keeping, budgeting, internal control, documentation and reporting of Kishoreganj Eye Hospital, Agaroshindur Community Hospital, Micro-Credit Program and NUKMI. He/She also being responsible to ensure organizational financial policy review, update regularly and keep in practice.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ To maintain all books of accounts of Kishoreganj Eye Hospital (KEH), Agaroshindur Community Hospital, Micro-Credit Programme, NUK Medical Institute including vouchers of the daily transactions, Cashbook, Ledger and other related records;
∎ To reconcile daily closing balance of cash & bank and ensure the balance and cash in hand. Ensure the bill voucher are checking by the Hospital Administrator on daily basis and approve it by authorized person of finance department of Head Office.
∎ Preparing monthly, quarterly, annually financial statement including Receipt & Payments of all department and Income Expenditure;
∎ Ensuring to prepare Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Budget including the all components of expenses and income sources for the Eye Hospitals. Prepare budget variance to compare the financial viability and sustainability regular basis;
∎ To prepare financial statement of different projects and also to prepare consolidated statement to show and understand the expenditure/income
∎ Ensuring the deduction of tax on source including income tax of the staff and arrange submission of return to the tax commissioner
∎ To assist the internal and external auditor with all relevant documents
∎ Ensuring that maintain and follow organizational procurement policy during payment
∎ Ensuring all stock, fixed asset management and inventory are up to date in all programs/units;
∎ Ensure that all kinds of reports (monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and yearly report) for Kishoreganj Eye Hospital, Agaroshindur Community Hospital, Micro-Credit Program and NUK Medical Institutes are prepared and submit to respective desk in timely manner;.
∎ Provide training on organizational financial policy and procedure to all staffs to understand them the policy;
∎ Willingness to take any other job related to Finance section which may be assigned to you by your supervising Authority at different times;

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 05 years work experience in finance and accounts field in development sector. Preferable work experience in hospital, micro-credit finance and accounts systems;
∎ Knowledge on organizational profit and loss accounts
∎ Proven experience in organizational budget and reporting systems
∎ Experience in managing different donors budget and reporting systems
∎ Hands on experience with different accounting software packages
∎ Excellent in using Microsoft packages especially desirable skill is required in using Advanced MS Excel including Vlookups and pivot tables
∎ Familiar with government financial laws and regulations
∎ Excellent analytical skill, leadership skill, management skill, problem solving skill and communication skills are desirable for the position
∎ Excellent language skill both in Bangla and English
∎ Ability to work in under pressure/extra hour work
∎ Willingness to frequent field visit and having motor bike driving skill with valid license.
