  • Experience working with students with a variety of special educational needs, including but not limited to learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and ADHD

  • Knowledge of evidence-based interventions, accommodations, and strategies for supporting students with SEN

  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to advocating for and supporting the diverse needs of students with SEN



Responsibilities & Context:

As we prepare for the upcoming Academic Year 2024/25, Smart Innovations School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN teacher to join our team. The SEN teacher will play a pivotal role in providing specialized support to students with a range of special educational needs, ensuring that they have access to a high-quality education that meets their individual requirements.

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and external specialists to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.

  • Provide personalized support to meet the diverse learning needs of students with SEN

  • Adapt teaching strategies, materials, and assessments to address the unique learning styles and abilities of students with SEN, promoting their academic, social, and emotional growth.

  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity, promotes empathy, and values the contributions of all students.

  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instructional strategies and interventions as needed to facilitate ongoing growth and achievement.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote inclusive practices and create a culture of support and acceptance throughout the school community.

  • Maintain open communication with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and seeking their input in the development and implementation of support plans.
