• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Design Technology, or a related field.     

• Master’s degree in Education or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

• Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience in ICT and Design Technology at the Primary, secondary or higher level, preferably within an IB school setting.     

• Proven experience in curriculum development and instructional design for ICT and Design Technology courses.   

• Familiarity with educational technology tools and platforms.    

• Ability to design and deliver engaging and effective lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.   

• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a team-oriented environment.

• Participating in IB training workshops or certification as an IB educator is preferred.

• Proficiency in using and teaching with educational technology tools and platforms, such as Google Classroom, Moodle, or other Learning Management Systems (LMS).

The ICT and Design Technology teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Design Technology to students across various grade levels, in alignment with the IB curriculum. The teacher will foster a dynamic and engaging learning environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.      

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement innovative and effective teaching strategies, integrate technology into the curriculum, and support students in achieving their academic and personal goals. They will also be responsible for assessing student progress, providing feedback, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the ICT and Design Technology programs.

• Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that meet the diverse needs and abilities of students.     

• Creating a stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning and student engagement.     

• Utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles.     

• Incorporating project-based learning and hands-on activities to enhance students` understanding and application of ICT and Design Technology concepts.      

• Encouraging students to develop digital literacy, technical skills, and design thinking abilities.      

• Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.      

• Collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development, cross-disciplinary projects, and school-wide initiatives.      

• Staying current with developments in the field of ICT and Design Technology and integrating relevant advancements into the curriculum.
