Education:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Technology, Business Studies, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
National Skill Certificate (NSC) Level 2 or above in Gas Station Attendant or a related occupation will be considered an advantage.
NSDA Trainer Methodology Course (TMC) or an equivalent certification will be preferred.
Job Summary
The Gas Station Attendant Trainer – Level 2 is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) programs in accordance with the standards and guidelines of the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA). The trainer will equip trainees with the technical knowledge, practical skills, customer service competencies, and workplace safety practices required for employment as Gas Station Attendants.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver theoretical and practical training in accordance with the NSDA-approved Competency Standard and Curriculum for Gas Station Attendant – Level 2.
Develop lesson plans, training materials, practical demonstrations, and assessment instruments.
Train participants in fuel dispensing operations, customer service, and fuel handling procedures, cash handling, Point of Sale (POS) operations, inventory control, and basic station maintenance.
Demonstrate the safe operation of fuel dispensing equipment and related tools.
Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), fire safety regulations, environmental protection requirements, and hazardous material handling procedures.
Conduct formative and summative assessments in accordance with NSDA CBTA guidelines.
Monitor trainee attendance, performance, and competency achievement.
Maintain accurate training records, attendance registers, assessment records, logbooks, and progress reports.
Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and inventory control of training equipment, tools, and materials.
Support internal and external monitoring, audits, quality assurance, and NSDA compliance activities.
Provide guidance on workplace ethics, customer service excellence, and communication, teamwork, and employability skills.
Coordinate with the Training Manager to ensure the effective implementation of training programs.
Perform any other training-related duties assigned by the management.
