Job Context:
∎ WARBE Development Foundation: WARBE Development Foundation is a non-profit organization working in the field of migration and development in Bangladesh since 1997. WARBE took the pioneering role in Bangladesh as a migrant workers` association to deal with the issues of migrants` rights. WARBE has undertaken many development activities at the grassroots and national and international levels to protect the rights, well-being and dignity of migrant workers and their families. As part of this, WARBE DF with support from the Winrock International has started to implement the Ashshash (Phase-II) in Dhaka East and Narsingdi which is funded by the Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh.
∎ PROJECT BACKGROUND: Winrock International - Ashshash (Phase-II), is funded by the Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh. The project will support human trafficking survivors with sustainable social and economic reintegration into their respective communities, and also provide support-services that will ensure their wellbeing and self-sufficiency. The survivors will be provided psychosocial counseling support along with other social services, and facilitated opportunities for skills-devolvement and entrepreneurship training. Through which, the economic empowerment of the survivors will also be ensured in the forms of wage-based and self-employment, and other income generational opportunities. The main objective of the project is to ensure that "women and men who have escaped trafficking will restore their dignity and wellbeing, and become self-sufficient". Furthermore, Ashshash will reach people in the project`s working areas; either directly or indirectly, through awareness-raising activities on factors that make people vulnerable to human trafficking, and to ensure the prevention of human trafficking.
∎ The four-year-long second phase of Ashshash will provide comprehensive and personalized packages of service-provision to the survivors of human trafficking in Bangladesh. The project will be implemented in ten of the most trafficking-prone areas across the country.
∎ POSITION SUMMARY: The Social Mobilizer will be in charge of implementing activities at grassroots level and identify the trafficking survivors and needs of the survivors & documentation under the direct oversight of WARBE (Sustainable Reintegration Partner (SRP) across the working district of Dhaka East & Narsingdi of Ashshash project.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Demonstrate complete understanding on the factors and criteria (within local contexts and as per WI's guideline) based on which potential human trafficking survivors will be identified and enrolled with the project;
∎ He/she will be in charge of implementing activities at Grassroots level;
∎ Coordinate with the team during different field level survey/trainings/workshop/meetings;
∎ Disseminate information on safe migration and support the migrant's communities during the different phases of migration;
∎ Identify the Trafficking survivors and needs of the survivors & documentation;
∎ Maintain the liaison with local government and local administration;
∎ Networking with the others Stakeholders & NGOs working in the development sector in the project areas;
∎ Prepare weekly plan and progress report and also the program activity report;
∎ Maintain the records and prepare the documents with collected information from field;
∎ Maintain accurate files and database in accordance with overall comprehensive organizational evaluation system;
∎ Organize and manage assigned events according to budget within the given time schedule;
∎ Demonstrate sensitivity towards the survivor's trafficking contexts, gender-specific issues, and residual trauma, when communicating with the survivors.
∎ Maintain working relationship with activists, youth and peer groups, community-based organizations (CBOs), and community leaders, within the working areas, to effectively identify survivors, and work to ensure their sustainable reintegration;
∎ Ability to support the WARBE and Ashshash's program teams with detailed information on each survivor, their contexts, and preferences;
∎ Any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager and project authority.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar field;
∎ The ability to work under pressure is essential;
∎ Experience with detailed case management systems and reintegration services for human trafficking survivors;
∎ Basic computer proficiency: i.e. MS Office, database management, coordination via email, project-specific management information systems, etc.

Salary: Tk. 25000 (Monthly)
