• 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
• Strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel (Laravel 8+ preferred).
• Solid understanding of JavaScript, Vue.js or React, and related build tools.
• Experience working with MySQL, query optimization, and Eloquent ORM.
• Proficiency in RESTful API design, Laravel API Resources, and validation.
• Familiarity with authentication systems (Laravel Sanctum/Passport or JWT).
• Experience using Git, GitHub/GitLab, and working in a collaborative development environment.
• Understanding of application security principles (e.g., XSS, CSRF, SQL Injection).
• Working knowledge of unit testing, feature testing, and debugging tools.
• Familiarity with Docker and development environment tooling is a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Adevs is looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer specializing in Laravel to join our Dhaka development team.

This is a hands-on senior engineering position. We are looking for someone who can do more than develop features. You should be comfortable taking ownership of production applications, investigating complex issues, designing scalable backend architecture, optimizing databases, managing servers, and maintaining deployment pipelines.

You will work on production systems used by real businesses, where stability, performance, security, and reliability are critical.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain large-scale applications using PHP and Laravel

• Build clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-structured backend code

• Design and maintain REST APIs and third-party integrations

• Troubleshoot complex application and production issues using logs, debugging tools, database analysis, and server monitoring

• Identify root causes instead of relying on temporary fixes or guesswork

• Review existing codebases and improve performance, architecture, security, and maintainability

• Design scalable application architecture for growing production environments

• Optimize Laravel applications, queues, scheduled jobs, caching, sessions, and background processes

• Design, maintain, and optimize MySQL databases

• Analyze slow queries, indexes, locks, database load, and other performance issues

• Handle database migrations, backups, recovery, and large datasets

• Manage Linux-based production and staging servers

• Configure and troubleshoot Nginx/Apache, PHP-FPM, MySQL, Redis, Supervisor, Cron, SSL, DNS, and related services

• Monitor application and server health and investigate CPU, memory, disk, network, and application-level problems

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines

• Manage development, staging, and production deployment workflows

• Implement safe deployment, rollback, backup, and release procedures

• Work with Git using proper branching, pull request, and code review practices

• Integrate and troubleshoot external APIs, payment systems, webhooks, and third-party services

• Participate in architecture and technical design decisions

• Review code written by other developers and maintain engineering standards
