Education:
∎ Master’s degree in Development Studies/Economics/Statistics/Sociology/Political Science and any other area relevant with development studies, political economy and policy analysis.

∎ Minimum 7 years’ overall working experience
∎ Minimum 3 years’ working experience in conducting social science research, writing reports on socio economic development issues
∎ At least one publication in a reputed journal
∎ Experience of producing policy analysis and policy briefs and/or developing political commentary on public policies
∎ Experience in managing a research team
∎ Excellent writing skills in both English and Bangla, familiarity with international research, survey and methodology tools, high level of computer literacy in research and graphical presentations
∎ Can work independently and as part of team
∎ Strong writing and analytical skills
∎ Able to manage public sector relationships and multiple projects
∎ Can learn and use mixed methods and research
∎ Can structure questionnaires for survey
∎ Leads teams effectively and shows conflict resolution skills
∎ Strong track record of timely delivery of projects and reports
∎ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to coach junior colleagues

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Manage the Research team of CRI
∎ Prepare policy briefs, research papers and for high-level stakeholders on a range of topics
∎ Draw analytical insights from different engagement activities and programs run by CRI
∎ Work with other teams in CRI to produce quality outputs
∎ Independently plan and design research project and conduct studies; or engage resource persons under specific terms of references and monitor quality of the outcomes/outputs
∎ Coach, supervise and help CRI's young professionals to develop their analytical and writing skills.
