Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Maintain comprehensive inventory and status of the health sector partners’ interventions in the camp including intersectoral synergies.
∎ Support the identification of gaps, challenges, possible synergies in the camp and nearby host community in close coordination with camp in-charge (CIC) and health sector field Coordinators.
∎ Coordinate with Community Health Workers (CHW), WASH Focal Points, nutrition agents, and other cross-cutting sectors on assessments, issues of concerns and services’ gaps and challenges at camp and host community levels.
∎ Collect, collate and maintain data on basic health indicators in close coordination with Community Health Workers (CHWs) and health facilities at camp level.
∎ Monitor, assess and evaluate the functionality of the health facilities including referral pathways and ensure issues, challenges encountered are flagged to the Camp in Charge (CiC) and the health Sector Field Coordinator for necessary action.
∎ Share the identified possible alerts, triggers on any multi hazard emergencies with health sector co-lead.
∎ Attend regular meetings in the camps, reflect activities and flag any issues of concern. Participate in capacity building exercises representing the health sector at camp level.
∎ Communicate effectively with partners, host communities and refugees for coherent health sector interventions. Support in synchronizing all available information at assigned camps such as emergency roster, emergency contact points, health sector partners’ 4W mapping, health facility mapping, health capacity mapping and buffer stock, dissemination of guidelines, plans and protocols, and daily field updates to Districts Field coordinators in addition to dissemination of information and information products to partners within the assigned camp. Report on public health emergencies due to any hazards to the Health Sector Field Coordinator and Health Sector Coordinator to facilitate the update to Civil Surgeon (CS), Cox’s Bazar and other senior authorities.
