Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Strategic Operations Management Develop and implement strategies that enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
∎ Lead efforts to align operational processes with business objectives, ensuring company growth and profitability. Provide input into company strategy, focusing on operational processes, resource planning, and continuous improvement.
∎ Team Leadership & Development Lead and mentor a team of operations managers and staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and implement professional development plans to build skills and ensure staff alignment with company goals.
∎ Promote a safety-conscious environment and enforce safety regulations across all operations.
∎ Process Optimization & Efficiency Identify, analyze, and implement process improvements in the supply chain, production, and logistics functions. Oversee inventory control, forecasting, and procurement to maintain cost-effectiveness and product availability. Utilize data and analytics to monitor performance, adjust operational strategies, and achieve operational targets.
∎ Budget and Financial Management Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets. Analyze financial data and operational metrics to make informed decisions and improve profitability.
∎ Risk Management & Compliance Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies. Develop and implement contingency plans to address operational risks, such as supply chain disruptions or unexpected operational challenges. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with departments such as HR, Finance, IT, and Sales to align operations with other business functions.
∎ Collaborate with senior leadership to provide insights and recommendations for business expansion, process improvement, and new product development. Continuous Improvement Lead continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging industry best practices and cutting-edge technology. Drive operational innovation through the integration of automation, digital tools, and lean methodologies.
∎ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degrees is a plus.
∎ Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
∎ Experience in , manufacturing, construction, logistics, etc. is preferred.
∎ Leadership Skills: Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
∎ Analytical Ability: Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess data, identify trends, and implement strategic decisions.
∎ Project Management: Strong project management skills, with experience overseeing complex operational projects from start to finish.
∎ Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to senior management and external stakeholders.
∎ Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with operations management software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.
∎ Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
∎ Lean Six Sigma certification or experience in lean methodologies.
∎ Experience with large-scale operations and managing cross-functional teams.
