Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Social Science (MSS)
∎ Master's degree in social sciences; preferably in Sociology / Gender and women studies / Development studies / International development or any other relevant degrees from an accredited university in home or abroad.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 5 to 9 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Development of gender and inclusion approach and implementation guideline for delivering of project titled "Towards a dignified life for all sanitation workers in Bangladesh".
∎ Develop training materials/manuals and facilitate training for city and national network of cooperatives of waste and sanitation workers, municipalities and PNGOs
∎ Build capacity of gender action committees of municipalities on gender transformative approach and optimum utilization of gender action budget
∎ Take lead to rolle out recommendations made in policy brief on gender and urban sanitation and waste management
∎ Support to design and undertake studies on Gender and Integrated and Inclusive Waste Management
∎ Participate in gender working group (GWG) and work closely with Gender and other Specialists
∎ Ensure the gender and social inclusion issues are addressed in every step of the project implementation.
∎ Represent Practical Action in relevant external meetings at city and national level.
∎ Support to produce quality reports for donor and provide input to quarterly progress and annual impact review report for organisation.
∎ Support to capture learning and dissemination in external platform and other Regional/Country offices of Practical Action.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ S/he has at least 2 years of work experience in the field of gender mainstreaming and safeguarding.
∎ S/he has sound knowledge and understanding on gender and women development, gender mainstreaming and capacity to link with other development agenda specially in sanitation service delivery.
∎ S/he has excellent conceptual and analytical skills with regard to gender and safeguarding issues.
∎ Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and to set priorities.
∎ Must have good English writing, analytical, communication, and report writing skills.
∎ Excellent knowledge of computer usage specially in MS Office, Outlook, and other software
∎ Good ability to work with a multicultural team.
∎ Willing and able to travel independently outside the station.
∎ Excellent facilitation, coordination, team management, reporting, and presentation skill.
Salary: Tk. 72993 (Monthly)
