Experience:
Master’s degree in Law/Criminology/Social Science or any other relevant field from a reputed university with excellent academic credentials
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience. Experience in the Investigation or handling of disciplinary cases will be given preference
Sound knowledge of the overall fact-finding process, national and international laws and policies of redress sexual harassment
Proficiency in managing sensitive information and documentation
Good verbal and written communication skills both in Bangla and English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Excellent presentation skills; Report writing skills both in Bangla and English
Good interpersonal skills, gender sensitivity, team building capacity, empathy and ability to work under pressure, understanding and concern for diversity and inclusiveness
Willingness to work some anti-social hours, including weekends and evenings, when required

Senior Inquiry Officer, Sexual Harassment, Exploitation, Bullying and Ragging Elimination Committee (SHEBREC)
Key Responsibilities
Manage all administrative tasks related to reviewing complaint letters, developing investigation plans, and creating checklists and questionnaires to address allegations
Prepare a list of interviewees, including the complainant, accused, witnesses, and beneficiaries
To build rapport when addressing a complaint with the individual involved
Examine evidence and documents to identify patterns, discrepancies, and areas of concern
Oversee multiple investigations simultaneously, ensuring each case is properly managed
Conduct confidential interviews, maintaining written records with dates and signatures
Prepare qualitative investigation reports that comply with standard format (i.e., introduction, complaint summary, methodology, interviewees’ statements, findings, fact analysis, and opinion) by maintaining the highest quality
Submit the Inquiry report to the Manager of SHEBREC along with the comments of concerned staff, SHEBREC, within the stipulated time
Attend SHEBREC’s monthly Forum and actively present the facts, evidence, and reports before the SHEBREC Committee in light of the inquiry report and prepare detailed meeting minutes
Communicate with respective management staff to get necessary logistics and program support during a field visit
Analyze and corroborate all collected evidence and statements to verify complaints
Safeguard SHEBREC records, ensuring strict confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive information
Assist in raising awareness on SHEBREC matters across the university
