Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Context : The Senior Finance and Admin Officer is a key position within the project team responsible for ensuring strong financial management, compliance, and administration of a complex, multi-donor funded initiative. This role entails overseeing financial operations, maintaining accurate records, preparing financial reports, supporting audits, and ensuring the optimal use of project resources. The incumbent also manages administrative functions including payroll, HR documentation, and office administration. She/he will provide financial leadership, manage budgetary performance, and ensure compliance with Mukti Cox’s Bazar and UNFPA requirements.Financial Management and Accounting:
∎ Maintain accurate books of accounts including manual cash book, ledger book, and relevant registers.
∎ Operate and manage accounting software as prescribed by the donor(s).
∎ Manage petty cash, ensuring timely replenishment and proper documentation.
∎ Review and verify all invoices and financial documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
∎ Ensure correct coding and classification of vouchers and expenditures.
∎ Process staff salaries through individual bank accounts and ensure timely deduction and deposit of TDS/VAT.
∎ Prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements and petty cash balances.
∎ Develop and submit accurate financial reports (monthly, quarterly, yearly) aligned with donor and organizational formats.
