Job Context:
∎ Position Overview: The Export/Commercial Deputy Manager plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing the export operations of a Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container (FIBC) company in Bangladesh. This position involves coordinating with various internal departments, external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. The Export Commercial Deputy Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end export process, managing documentation, coordinating logistics, and ensuring smooth operations for export activities.
∎ Job Location: Incumbent shall be positioned in Dhaka with frequent travelling to factory sites.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Export Operations Management:
∎ Oversee and manage all aspects of the export operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
∎ Coordinate with internal departments, such as production, quality control, logistics, and finance, to ensure timely execution of export orders.
∎ Documentation and Compliance:
∎ Prepare and review export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and other required shipping documents.
∎ Ensure accuracy and completeness of all export-related documentation, maintaining proper records and filing systems.
∎ Coordinate with external agencies, such as customs authorities, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and insurance providers, to facilitate smooth export operations.
∎ Customer Relationship Management:
∎ Liaise with international customers, agents, and distributors to understand their requirements, resolve queries, and provide necessary support.
∎ Maintain effective communication channels with customers, keeping them informed about order status, shipment updates, and any changes in export procedures.
∎ Address customer complaints, concerns, and inquiries promptly, striving to maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
∎ Logistics and Supply Chain Coordination:
∎ Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure timely transportation of goods from the factory to the port of shipment.
∎ Monitor and track shipments, ensuring compliance with delivery schedules and resolving any logistical issues or delays.
∎ Optimize freight costs, negotiate rates with shipping lines, and evaluate logistics service providers for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
∎ Team Management and Leadership:
∎ Supervise and mentor a team of export commercial executives, providing guidance, training, and support as required.
∎ Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
∎ Set performance goals and evaluate the team's performance, providing regular feedback and initiating corrective actions when necessary.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Proven experience in export operations (4-6 Years), preferably in the RMG/FIBC industry or a related field.
∎ In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
∎ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex export-related issues.
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with customers, stakeholders, and team members effectively.
∎ Proficiency in English and local languages, both written and spoken.
∎ Good computer skills, including experience with MS Office applications
∎ Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
