∎ The BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health (BRAC JPGSPH) at BRAC University was established in 2004 as an educational and research institution focusing on the integral areas of teaching, research, and services. The goal of the school is not only to impart knowledge but also to act as a center of excellence in knowledge creation through research and training that connects with practice.

∎ In 2017, BRAC JPGSPH launched the Center for Noncommunicable Diseases and Nutrition (CNCDN), with initial funding provided by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), UK. The CNCDN`s founding partners are the NCDC, Imperial College London, BRAC, BIRDEM, the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), the Bangladesh University of Health Sciences (BUHS), and the BRAC JPGSPH. The mission of CNCDN is to prevent, treat and control noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) and malnutrition in Bangladesh and the Global South. The Centre conducts research and collaborates with the government of Bangladesh to develop guidelines for NCD prevention, treatment, and control, as well as to advocate for NCDs and malnutrition through evidence-based advocacy. The Centre`s research focuses on identifying evidence-based practices, optimizing intervention delivery through health system research, and conducting economic evaluations of interventions. Additionally, the Center trains healthcare providers and builds the capacity of program managers and policymakers to implement relevant policies and interventions.
∎ The center will recruit a Senior Analyst, Statistics to support training, data collection, data management, data cleaning, and data analysis of its multifaceted research activities. Details of the position are stated below:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Applying statistical tools and techniques such as Stata, R, and SAS for data analysis
∎ Designing and implementing data gathering/management computer systems
∎ Designing and developing app-based survey tools/instruments for Open Data Kit (ODK) such as SurveyCTO and KoboToolBox
∎ Customization of survey application to develop survey tools/instruments.
∎ Conducting App-based data collection training and workshop for field enumerators, supervisors, and quality control officers
∎ Developing and maintaining database as per required statistical formats
∎ Troubleshooting of survey application and device (tablet and mobile performance)
∎ Data Management and analysis): Ability to perform advanced analysis and interpret results.
∎ Using statistics to make forecasts and to provide projected figures.
∎ Keen attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills
∎ Conveying / presenting / interpreting complex information (based on data analysis) to people in an easily understandable way

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years of extensive knowledge and experience in the development of survey tools / instruments for Open Data Kit
∎ Extensive knowledge and experience in the analysis of survey data and longitudinal data
∎ Have at least 3 Publications in Peer Reviewed Journal (minimum 1 as 1 st Author)
∎ Good writing and communication skills both in Bengali and English

Salary:
∎ Negotiable
∎ Salary: BDT. 85,000 per month as gross with all-inclusive. Commensurate with experience and qualification.
