As AUW continues to expand its recruitment footprint, the Senior Admissions Officer will play a critical role in strengthening outreach, building sustainable recruitment channels, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships to ensure a consistent and high-quality student pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
1. Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Building (Core Focus)
Develop, build, and sustain strong relationships with schools, colleges, counselors, community leaders, NGOs, and other key stakeholders within and outside of Bangladesh.
Serve as a primary point of contact for institutional partners and ensure regular, proactive communication.
Conduct consistent follow-ups with stakeholders to maintain engagement and generate a steady pipeline of prospective applicants.
Identify and develop new partnership opportunities to expand AUW’s outreach and visibility.
2. Student Recruitment & Pipeline Development (Core Focus)
Design and implement outreach strategies to generate a robust and diverse applicant pool.
Actively manage and track leads from multiple channels, ensuring consistent nurturing of prospective candidates.
Conduct targeted outreach initiatives to convert interest into completed applications.
3. Outreach, Travel & Representation
Undertake extensive travel within Bangladesh and, when required, internationally to conduct recruitment activities (70% of the work requires travelling for outreach).
Visit schools, colleges, and partner organizations to deliver presentations and information sessions.
Represent AUW at events, fairs, and institutional engagements, acting as a strong ambassador of the university.
Adapt outreach approaches based on context, audience, and geography.
4. Application Screening & Admissions Process
Support screening and evaluation of applications for eligibility and completeness.
Coordinate communication with shortlisted candidates regarding entrance exams and interviews.
Assist in organizing and conducting admissions tests and interview processes to recruit both national and international students.
5. Counseling & Candidate Engagement
Provide personalized guidance to prospective students and their families on AUW programs, scholarships, and career pathways.
Respond to inquiries (calls, emails, walk-ins) in a timely and supportive manner.
Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the admissions journey.
6. Data Management, Reporting & MIS
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, applications, and conversions.
Track engagement with stakeholders and report on pipeline development.
Prepare periodic reports to support data-driven decision-making in recruitment strategies as required for the unit.
7. Teamwork & Flexibility
Work collaboratively with the Admissions, Communications, and other internal teams to achieve recruitment goals.
Demonstrate flexibility in working hours and responsibilities, especially during peak recruitment cycles.
Contribute proactively to team initiatives and support colleagues as needed.
8. Additional Responsibilities
Carry out any other duties as assigned by the line manager in support of admissions and institutional goals.
