∎ Master’s degree/MBA/MBS with major in Accounting from any recognized university in Bangladesh or abroad. CA-CC and Qualified Chartered Accountant/Cost and Management Accountant shall be given preference.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Maintain comprehensive account records for the project in both digital and physical formats.
∎ Ensure accurate recording and entry of transactions into the computerized TALLY accounting system.
∎ Manage all project accounts for the organization and address banking matters as needed.
∎ Verify all account records prior to the audit process.
∎ Prepare financial reports in accordance with USAID requirements and submit them to the Manager-Accounts for review.
∎ Ensure timely submission of financial reports to USAID, following proper procedures.
∎ Confirm that all records, accounts, and financial transactions are finalized before the audit begins; collaborate with Manager-Accounts to produce the annual financial statement.
∎ Prepare and reconcile bank statements, process supplier invoices, make payments, maintain the purchase order system, and manage financial files and records; verify and record invoices and petty cash transactions; ensure all necessary documentation for payroll processing is complete.
∎ Ensure compliance with project agreements, statutory regulations, and both CB and USAID policies.
∎ Conduct regular field visits to oversee project activities, particularly Cash for Work and cash transfers, while supporting field staff in enhancing financial monitoring.
∎ Assist in purchasing office equipment and furniture as required, adhering to organizational and USAID policies.
∎ Negotiate service agreements with vendors.
∎ Organize events such as meetings and training sessions, providing logistical support including room bookings, audiovisual equipment, and catering arrangements.
∎ Verify the beneficiary list for project support on a sample basis.
∎ Assist with responses to any financial or compliance inquiries from the Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance (BHA)/USAID.
∎ Support management in developing a concrete project closure plan and ensure effective and timely project completion.
∎ Facilitate effective donor visits from BHA/USAID officials in collaboration with the Regional Office.
∎ Submit monthly VAT coupon report to USAID timely.
∎ Prepare and timely submit FD-1, FD-2, FD-3, FD-4, FD-6, FD-7, FC-1, FC-2 etc. and make clarification as and when required to NGOAB.
∎ Job Summary:
∎ The Senior Accounts Officer will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive account records for the project in both digital and physical formats. This role involves ensuring the accurate recording and entry of transactions into the computerized TALLY accounting system, as well as managing project accounts and addressing banking matters as needed.
∎ Key responsibilities include verifying all account records prior to audits, preparing financial reports in accordance with USAID requirements for review by the Manager-Accounts, and ensuring timely submission of these reports to USAID. The Senior Accounts Officer will confirm that all records, accounts, and financial transactions are finalized before audits and collaborate with the Manager-Accounts to produce the monthly and annual financial statement.

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Consolidated Salary : 70,000 BDT per month
