HD Accountancy Services Ltd is a rapidly growing, technology-driven accountancy and tax practice based in Huddersfield, United Kingdom. We provide bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, year-end accounts, corporation tax, self-assessment tax returns, capital gains tax, and business advisory services to a large portfolio of clients across the UK.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking to recruit a multiple Senior Accountant to join our Rajshahi office and become an important member of our offshore team.
This role is ideal for an experienced accountant who has completed article ship training and is either part-qualified or currently studying towards ACCA, ICAB, ACA, CIMA, CMA, or a similar professional qualification.
Fully qualified status is not essential. We value practical experience, technical competence, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn UK accounting and taxation systems.
The successful candidate will assist our UK-based client manager in delivering high-quality accounting and compliance services to UK businesses while helping to develop more junior members of the team.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare financial statements from client records.
Review and finalise bookkeeping records before accounts preparation.
Prepare and assist with Corporation Tax returns.
Prepare VAT returns and Self-Assessment tax returns.
Manage multiple client assignments and meet deadlines.
Perform bookkeeping and reconciliations using Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and other cloud-based accounting software.
Review work completed by junior team members and provide guidance where necessary.
Assist with payroll and other compliance-related assignments.
Develop an understanding of clients' businesses and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and tax outcomes.
Work closely with UK-based Client Managers and follow instructions accurately.
Essential Requirements
Completion of at least three years of professional articleship training (CC completed).
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Minimum 3–5 years of practical accounting experience.
Strong understanding of bookkeeping, double-entry accounting, accrual concept and accounts preparation.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Familiarity with cloud-based accounting software.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise workload effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
Part-qualified ACCA, ICAB, ACA, CIMA, CMA, or equivalent qualification.
Experience working within an accountancy/Audit firm.
Knowledge of UK accounting standards and taxation.
Experience using Xero and QuickBooks.
Xero or QuickBooks certification would be advantageous.
Previous experience working with UK-based clients would be highly beneficial.
Working Arrangements
This position is based in our Rajshahi office and requires regular office attendance. It is not a remote or work-from-home role. This is full-time, permanent position.However, part-time applications may be considered for highly suitable candidates with relevant experience.
