Job Context:
∎ Need to have effective control over "Man; Materials and Information" of the department.
∎ Assist line manager to ensure the smooth operations of Safety & Security department·
∎ Maintain liaison with law enforcing agencies in and out and Fire Service and Civil Defense of Bangladesh
∎ Monitoring and oversee out sourced guard force and Ansar Battalion
∎ Response to all kind of emergency situation and aware of emergency contingency plan
∎ Ensure regular patrolling and surveillance of the University buildings/projects
∎ Act, response, report and monitor all kind of incidents to the line manager
∎ Act as Officer in-charge of Front Desk Security
∎ Assist Security Head/Coordinator to organize training on firefighting, Safety/Security mail receiving procedure, access control
∎ Act as contact point of VIP guest/visitor and arrange necessary protocol
∎
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Receive, obey and pass on all orders and instructions from the line manager to security force
∎ Assist to coordinate with other departments on safety/security and related matters
∎ Extend cooperation to other departments of AUW as per directives
∎ Keep all security equipment operational and in good condition
∎ Report to line manager regularly and as and when required basing on emergency or urgency
∎ Ensure safeguarding of institutional property, personnel, material and information
∎ Be prepared to perform any tasks and other issues if assigned, including protocol duties
∎ Arrange all required materials and equipment in time to support the officials and members of the department
∎ Maintain and monitor the financial correspondence of the department like monthly bill, purchase voucher, monthly maintenance expenditure etc.
∎ Manage petty cash, authentic expenditure voucher and emergency purchase
∎ Communicate other with faculty/staff/students of AUW on behalf of the Line Manager as per the requirement or as instructed
∎ Coordinate with concerned department and authorities for Protocol Duty if assigned by the line manager
∎ Act as a contact person from the department to local law enforcing agencies and out sourced guard management to ensure the smooth liaison
∎ Assist line manager to follow legal procedure regarding any security issue from the department
∎ Maintain regular liaison with Fire Service and Civil Defense of Bangladesh for periodic inspection, Fire safety management, Emergency coordination in case of fire and fire drill
∎ Monitor and assist the Ansar guards deployed at AUW campus for all kind of requirements and operations
∎ Responsible to employ, check and ensure attendance of all guards and security duties of AUW
∎ Oversee outsourced security staff, and train them of various procedures and systems as approved by AUW management
∎ Monitor, assist and advice the security supervisor to perform their regular duty
∎ Arrange security and safety training to all guards/supervisor regularly and all concern of AUW when it is required.
∎ Conduct development activities for the security guards
∎ Maintain close liaison with the outsourcing security guards' provider for the smooth and uninterrupted operation
∎ Ensure proper administration of security personnel
∎ Responsible to check and monitor the access control, fire alarm and firefighting system regularly
∎ Act prudently during emergency or crisis situation and inform line manager and related person or forces
∎ Act promptly during any kind of medical emergencies in the university
∎ Ensure hourly patrolling in all facilities and inform line manager regarding any security issues immediately
∎ Maintain incident log book manually and digitally and write incident report
∎ Monitor inward and outward loading of goods, provision and other materials.
∎ Manage the parcel/mail/courier/delivery receiving procedure
∎ To report all violations of AUW's rules and regulation and special orders
∎ Monitor all incidents, hazards and threats on AUW security and related issues.
∎ Inform any abnormality to the line manager
∎ Serve as the onsite staff member of Security Desk Operation
∎ Monitor Front Desk Security 24/7 by continuous oversee
∎ Maintain Students leave management, key management, visitor management procedure
∎ Supervise the maintenance of entry and exit log and attendance system
∎ Assist CCTV Control Room in-charge to keep 24/7 surveillance of the campus premises
∎ Implementing AUW's rules & policies inside the premises as per the SOP
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Graduate in any discipline, female candidate preferable
∎ Military/Police preferable
∎ Need to have sound knowledge in computer, firefighting, report writing skills in English{spoken/written}, Safety/Security procedures.
