Responsibilities & Context:

• Attend PICU admitted all patients promptly and ensure proper Treatments assessment, documentation, and timely follow-up.

• Review patients’ conditions periodically and take necessary Treatments as per hospital protocol.

• Ensure accurate and timely completion of discharge procedures, including discharge note, medication lists, cause Summary, patient counseling.

• Accompany consultants during daily rounds and ensure all clinical findings, instructions, treatment plans are properly recorded.

• Implement consultant orders accurately and follow up to verify proper execution.

• Maintain continuous communication with concerned consultants regarding any changes in patients’ conditions.

• Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date patient medical records in Software and Patient File.

• Ensure proper handover of patient updates to the next medical officer during shift changes.

• Brief patients and their attendants about diagnosis, treatment plans, procedures, and progress as required.

• Participate in clinical meetings, Board Meeting, training sessions as required.

• Monitor and manage mechanical ventilators and other life-support equipment.

• Counsel parents and attendants regarding the patient’s condition and treatment prognosis with high ethical standards.

• Coordinate with the nursing staff and other departments (Lab, Radiology) for urgent investigations.
