• RMO shall take detailed history including current medications, hospital acquired infection surveillance, and does Physical examination on admission and shall document with in the first 24 hours of admission.

• Shall document the advised medication and the non drug orders by the primary Consultant.         

• Shall order for Investigations and responsible for sending the patient for the appropriate investigation as directed by the primary consultant and also to authorize investigations, which are urgent.

• He/She should be part of the quality improvement of JCI documentation process of the hospital.

• Responsible for initiating treatment and procedures for the patient.

• Shall order investigations as advised by the Consultant and ensure .Shall ensure the necessary cross referrals and communicate the opinion of other specialists to the primary consultant

• To check the dosage, frequency, route of administrations of all medications, considering all precautions and do fresh orders.

• Shall assist consultant during surgery and document.

• Shall Do minor procedures and dressings.

• Shall help the consultant in OP when required.

• Take on call duties, night and day and take appropriate initiatives in Medical Emergencies when required.

• Prepare discharge summaries well in time.

• Shall take part in patient and family education along with the Primary consultant.

• Follow hospital practices and demonstrate initiative aligned to ensuring the safest possible environment for patients and staff.

• To attend all clinical meetings, CME and work shops and actively participate in paper presentations.

• To be part of training program conducted in the hospital and to take continuous initiatives for knowledge and skill up gradation.
