1. Clinical Responsibilities
Patient ManagementAssist in the admission, discharge, and daily care of patients with hematologic disorders and those undergoing stem cell transplantation.
Monitor and document patient progress, including vital signs, laboratory results, and clinical status, under the supervision of consultants.
Identify and report signs of complications.
Assist in procedures such as bone marrow aspirations, biopsies, and stem cell infusions as guided by senior clinicians.
Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, chemotherapy, or other treatments by explaining procedures and obtaining informed consent.
Collaborate with nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers to ensure the implementation of treatment plans.
Facilitate communication with Hematology On call number- between patients, families, and the care team to address concerns and provide updates.
2. Emergency and On-Call Duties
Provide first-line response to patient emergencies during shifts and communicate to senior medical staff as necessary.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for inpatient care and post-transplant monitoring.
