Educational Requirements:
∎ University Degree in a relevant discipline
∎ Preferably Master in Agriculture/Food & Nutrition/ Anthropology/ statistics

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support WV BRCR programme in developing the strategic direction of Moringa research portfolio,
∎ Work closely with relevant team to design hard –hitting research that provides a rich understanding of the importance of Moringa in the Bangladesh, with intersectional realities and future potentials reflected in the findings,
∎ In collaboration with MEAL team, contribute to mobilize research grant for ensuring effective continuation of Moringa research initiatives,
∎ Develop detailed and thorough knowledge of own and related subject areas, including the latest work,
∎ Actively search for new techniques; build expertise to become the go-to person for aspects of the research,
∎ Develop and/or apply advanced research methods/theories. Plan and carry out research methodically, ethically and safely. Be responsible for design and interpretation of experiments and analyses,
∎ Establish a profile and reputation in the Morniga research areas and contribute to the wider scientific community,
∎ Produce experimental, methods and/or theory results and analyses, analytical methods and written material of high publishable standard, aiming for strategic and significant authorship positions where appropriate,
∎ Develop awareness of the collection, organization, validation, sharing and storing of information/data,
∎ Manage project research programmes and partnerships, ensuring milestones, budgets and reporting requirements are met, maintained and communicated to external partners where appropriate,
∎ Collaborate and contribute generously to other research initiative to support the development of BRCR Mornigya research initiatives,
∎ Manage relationships with key stakeholders to gather findings for the research study and advise management on project deliverables,
∎ Ensure wider dissemination of research findings at local, national and regional level,
∎ Implement and maintain the research project budget. Create financial projections and make adjustments to the research project budget throughout the fiscal year,
∎ Exercise appropriate budget controls, monitor, and reconcile accounts,
∎ Resolve ongoing challenges that may affect the achievement of research objectives and deadlines, and escalate challenges to resolve ongoing issues as appropriate,
∎ Collaborate with Bangladesh Agriculture University (BAU) to get technical and other necessary guidance to enhance the research outcomes,
∎ Provide support and synergy to the BRCR team whilst also being able to progress medium to longer-term research priorities,
∎ Engage with other appropriate opportunities, networks and contacts to enhance their profile and employability including international experience,
∎ Develop a profile through authorship of research publications in appropriate peer-reviewed journals and engage in high impact publications,
∎ Apply copyright and IP principles to research outputs and outcomes,
∎ Work with WV global research teams to develop research that contributes to a more inclusive narrative on child malnutrition.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Recognized project management qualification strongly preferable,
∎ Ability to plan and design research proposals and programmes using mixed methods,
∎ Comfortable outside academia as an applied researcher,
∎ Expert ability to source complex data from varying sources and undertake the necessary analysis and interpretation to inform impactful recommendations,
∎ Strong writing skills and ability to write for different audiences - policymakers, media and for communities,
∎ Expert ability to lead teams in delivering large-scale projects,
∎ Expert ability to deliver large-scale, impactful research projects with high levels of autonomy,
∎ Extensive experience of stakeholder relationship management,
∎ Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal skills,
∎ Laser-like focus, attention to detail and the ability to stay organised, and juggle multiple priorities,
∎ Commitment to rigorous evidence based impartial analysis,
∎ Experience conducting or facilitating research in development or humanitarian settings is required.
