Job Responsibilities:
∎ Key responsibilities of the job include:
∎ Prepare tenders for research contract
∎ Assist in development of proposal documents soliciting on research grant proposals
∎ Receive instructions and project briefs from clients and outlining objectives
∎ Collect, analyze and interpret qualitative and/or quantitative data
∎ Writing reports
∎ Identify and advising about possible strategies
∎ Control budgets
∎ Management of staff.
∎ Overall coordination of project activities
∎ Key skills for social researchers
∎ Excellent organizational skills

∎ Social scientist conducting and interpreting applied research typically have a master's or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in anthropology, sociology or other social science related subjects. In addition to gaining expertise in their particular field of study, aspiring social research, technical and statistical fields of study which help them to perform their work.
∎ Relevant practical experience, particularly research experience, is advantageous.
∎ Experience on undertaking research projects and reporting on their findings.
∎ Knowledge of using variety of methods to gather information including questionnaires, focus groups discussion, key-informant interviews, public consultation meeting etc.
∎ Knowledge about statistical method for sampling and data analysis
∎ Experience on organizing workshop and seminar
∎ Good report writing capability as well as presentation of report (Multimedia presentation)
