Job Context:
∎ MOMODa FOUNDATION is a research-oriented development organization aims at creating a society with reduced poverty and inequality. The foundation has been working in both rural and urban Bangladesh since 2011. Along with six on-going projects, it has successfully implemented more than twenty five action research projects in association with world`s renowned academics and research institutions and funding partners, with active collaboration with local public and non-government organizations.
∎ The foundation currently looking for capable team-members as Research Coordinator/Manager
∎ to join our dynamic and vibrant research team who would be interested to work in the development research sector in future and this opportunity will allow them to gain valuable practical experience.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ This is a leadership position [second-in-command] which requires responsibility for overall management of the organization, including administration, finance, human resource, grant proposal, local and global fund mobilization, documentation, and day-to-day operation. The details of the role is given below
∎ Leadership:
∎ Support the development of new projects in Bangladesh by establishing relationships with researchers, implementers, grant authorities and funders.
∎ Fund-raising initiatives obtaining donor-funded development projects (both local and global funding) by project conceptualization, submission, designing, planning, implementation, and budgeting.
∎ Developing opportunities to establish MOMODa Foundation to become a reputed organization by 2025.
∎ Management:
∎ Supervise, mentor, manage, and support a team of Research Assistants/Associates and Data Analysts and field staff in the implementation of action and field research projects across the country.
∎ Manage proper communication and relationships with international and local investigators in various research institutions, funders, and implementing partners to ensure successful projects.
∎ Plan and supervise survey implementation, quality assurance, data cleaning, data analysis, and other activities related to rigorous impact evaluation implementation.
∎ Produce reports for donors, researchers, and other stakeholders. Oversee the quality of client and partner deliverables.
∎ Communication and Networking:
∎ Strong networking in the Banking and financing sectors as well as sectors like NGOs, Micro-finance, international organization and donor circles to uphold and connect MOMODa Foundation and make it visible.
∎ Thought leader in the official external communication of the organization (over the phone, SKYPE or email) with government representatives, NGOs, Civil society circles, stakeholders and donor agencies.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Candidate must have 10 years of relevant experience.
∎ Successful fund-raising track record.
∎ Leadership role in field research activities. Proficiency in field survey, preferably using Tablet based online surveys.
∎ Data analysis and report writing proficiency using Excel and STATA.
∎ Writing project proposals in a team setting and good presentation skills.
∎ Excellent communication skills in English (both written and oral)
∎ Experience in handling foreign delegates visiting for research and other purposes.
∎ Strong inter-personal and communication skills.
∎ Publications in journals will be considered as additional qualifications.
∎ The job demands ability to work under pressure, maintaining deadlines and self-initiative with low direct supervision.
Salary:
∎ An industry standard remuneration will be offered.
Salary is negotiable for highly qualified candidates.
Variable incentive packages may be offered to high achieving candidates, evaluated based on performance and achieving milestones.
