Job Context:
∎ We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate to work on trans-disciplinary research projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing and conducting studies, analyzing data, and preparing reports for different stakeholders. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to assisting in writing research proposals, preparing budgets, and coordinating with relevant authorities to submit them. The job requires intellectual curiosity and innovation.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinate day-to-day activities of the research department including planning, budgeting and reporting
∎ Coordinate with the research team, development programs, and funding agencies
∎ Review literature (search and collect articles and books, reports, and other relevant documents)
∎ Develop data collection tools (quantitative and qualitative)
∎ Prepare the electronic version of the data collection tool
∎ Conduct overall supervision of the data collection process
∎ Check quality of the data (e.g., match the transcripts with records, agreement test, re-interview etc.)
∎ Analyze data and conduct analysis
∎ Develop proposals, manuscripts, and reports
∎ Supervise and provide guidance to other researchers
∎ Manage project timelines and ensure that deliverables are completed on schedule
∎ Coordinate project activity in accordance with the budget
∎ Liaise with funding agencies, partner organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are achieved
∎ Carry out any other duties related to the research, as requested by the supervisor
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 26 to 32 years
∎ Experience of working on national/international research projects and bringing them to a successful conclusion
∎ At least one publication in a peer-reviewed academic journal
∎ Expertise in mixed-method research, including experience with designing and coordinating research projects
∎ Strong analytical and writing skills
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills working at a national/international level
∎ Proven track record of producing global standard research outputs
∎ Proven problem-solving and management/leadership skills
∎ Proactive and independent
∎ Flexible and adaptive with a positive approach to managing substantial projects and associated resources
∎ Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
∎ Willingness to travel project regions in Bangladesh and international as needed
Salary: Tk. 60000 - 70000 (Monthly)
