Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum MSc in Statistics/ Applied Statistics/ Applied Economics/ Health Economics or any relevant field;
∎ Educational qualification can be relaxed for the experienced candidates worked in the empirical project/research management;

Experience Requirements:
∎ 1 to 2 year(s)

Job Context:
∎ Objective: Support to conduct scientific research on public health issues within the strategy of GPHRF
∎ The initial contract will be for a period of 1 year (first three months will be considered as a probationary period). The job contract will be extended depending on satisfactory performance.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist Director/Project Leader/Research Scientist in planning, budgeting, monitoring & evaluating of research projects.
∎ Conduct surveys, data collection, translation of questionnaires and supervise enumerators during data collection.
∎ Data entry and analysis in Epi Info/SPSS/Survey Solutions/STATA or in any other framework as per the need.
∎ Visit study fields when necessary.
∎ Participate in meetings associated with internal scholarly work.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 1-2 years of research experience (post-graduate research is applicable), including drafting publishable papers, conducting literature reviews, data compilation, and analysis;
∎ Preference will be given to those having work experience in public health project/research activities;
∎ Proven experience in survey design using CAPI based software (Survey solution, OKD, CTO etc), data collection, and both qualitative and quantitative techniques will be an advantage;
∎ Strong publication record in national or international peer-reviewed journals in a relevant field is an advantage;
∎ Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral (Higher IELTS score is an advantage);
∎ Basic and at least intermediate level knowledge on applied statistics;
∎ Strong quantitative skills in econometrics and statistics, and Familiarity (Intermediate to advance level) with statistical packages, such as STATA, E-Views, Matlab, or R etc;

Salary:
∎ Tk. 35000 - 45000 (Monthly)
∎ Gross BDT 35,000-45,000 (Negotiable based on position and experience) per month for the entire period which would be payable based on work progress evaluation.
